A hilltop café-restaurant in Khao Thong, north of Krabi Town, with panoramic views across the province's karst-studded coast. The trail is unpaved and best reached by motorbike or 4WD — the dirt road is too rough for regular taxis. The viewpoint and café are halal and serve seafood, chicken dishes and cold drinks at fair prices. Go at sunset for the best light over the offshore islands. Entry is free; the only spend is at the café.
