Tonsai Beach sits at the base of some of the best sport climbing limestone in Southeast Asia, with dozens of bolted routes up the karst cliffs directly above the beach. Several small schools operate here — Basecamp Tonsai is the most established, running half-day group courses from around ฿2,000 per person and private full-day guiding from ฿6,000. Equipment rental (harness ฿200/day, shoes ฿150/day, rope ฿300/day) is available separately for those with some experience. The rock is steep, juggy limestone — physically demanding but well-suited to beginners who enjoy pulling hard on big holds. No experience is required for a guided course.
