Wat Tham Sua is a working Buddhist monastery set into limestone cliffs, with a summit reached by 1,260 steps that takes 45–60 minutes each way. The climb ends at a gilded Buddha statue and golden stupa with views across Krabi Province to the Andaman Sea. The lower grounds hold forest meditation caves and a resident population of long-tailed macaques. Shoulders and knees must be covered — sarong hire available at the entrance for ฿20. Open 8am–5pm; last entry for the climb before 4:30pm.
