A short, steep clamber up the cliff behind East Railay to a lookout over the peninsula — both bays, the mangroves and the karst towers laid out below. The path is a scramble over rock and tree roots, sometimes with fixed ropes, so it's muddy and not for sandals, but it's quick: 20 to 30 minutes up if you push. Most people carry on to the hidden lagoon from the same trailhead. Go in dry conditions and grippy shoes. Free, and one of Railay's best free thrills.
