Bat Cave

A limestone cave near the Ao Thalane mangroves, home to a colony of bats and usually visited as a stop on kayak trips through the area. You paddle or wade in, the roof lifts into darkness, and the smell and the flutter tell you the residents are home. It's atmospheric rather than polished — bring a torch and don't expect railings. Most people see it as part of a guided Ao Thalane kayak or longtail trip rather than on their own. Free to enter if you can reach it.
