The query “krabi town night market” is not one stall. The Tourism Authority of Thailand’s Krabi province page, read 27 October 2026, names two shopping venues in the same sentence. Maharaj Walking Street is the Friday to Sunday market, 5.00 to 10.00 pm. Chao Fah Pier Night Market is the daily market, 5.00 pm to 12.30 am. If you turn up on a Tuesday and the walking street is an ordinary lane, that is the calendar, not a closure.
The place card is Krabi Town Night Market. Ao Nang’s evening is a different market. Use the Ao Nang night markets guide for Landmark.

Two markets, two calendars
Use the English names TAT uses, because the search box mixes them. Maharaj Walking Street, Krabi Walking Street, and Krabi Weekend Night Market are the weekend one. Agoda’s map for Snoozz Hotel keeps “Krabi Weekend Night Market” and “Krabi Walking Street” as two pins, 130 metres and 140 metres. I am not going to average those into a third distance. Treat them as the same Friday-to-Sunday market unless a sign on the soi says otherwise.
Chao Fah Pier Night Market is the other line in TAT’s sentence. It is daily, and it runs later: 5.00 pm to 12.30 am. The Krabi food guide is where the dishes sit. This page is the calendar.
TAT Japan’s page says the walking street sometimes has a stage, with karaoke or Thai dance. It does not say every night. I am not promoting a show I did not see on 27 October 2026.
If the dates are Monday to Thursday, plan Chao Fah, or go to Ao Nang Landmark, which is the nightly market on the coast. Do not ride into town for a walking street that TAT says is closed.
Where the pins sit
TAT Japan gives the walking street address as Soi Maharaj 8, Mueang Krabi District, Krabi 81000. Agoda’s pin for Snoozz Hotel is 52 Maharaj Road, and the weekend-market landmarks sit 130 and 140 metres from that door. Wat Kaew Ko Wararam is 50 metres from the same hotel. The place page is Wat Kaew Korawaram. Vogue Shopping Center is 100 metres. I am not writing “behind Vogue” as a direction. I did not pace it.
The town layout is Krabi Town. The river photo below is the town, not a picture of Chao Fah’s stalls. I do not have a Commons frame of the pier market that I checked on 27 October 2026, so I am not borrowing one.
Getting there without a fare I have not checked
TAT Japan’s access line says about 14 kilometres and about 35 minutes by car or songthaew from Krabi Airport to Krabi Town, and about 30 minutes by car from Ao Nang. Agoda’s line for Snoozz Hotel is tighter: Krabi Airport at 8.21 kilometres, with a listed travel time of 1,257 seconds, which is 21 minutes. I am leaving both sentences standing. They are not the same origin and I did not time a ride on 27 October 2026.

Sleeping on Maharaj Road
Snoozz Hotel is the property at 52 Maharaj Road. Agoda hotel 1135384, checked 27 October 2026, classifies it as a hostel with a 2.5 gold-star rating provided by the property. The review score is 8.3 from 982 reviews. Location is 9.1. The property block lists 8 rooms on 4 floors. The room grid also lists shared dormitories, so do not read 8 as every bed in the building.
Check-in is from 14:00 until 20:00. Reception is open until 21:00. Check-out is until 12:00. The walking street, on TAT’s clock, is still going at 22:00. Check in before 20:00, then walk to the market. If you land and go to the stalls first, you can miss the desk.
The airport transfer fee on the property block is 800 baht. That is a hotel charge, not a taxi tariff I measured. Ao Nang Beach is 10.6 kilometres. This is the wrong bed if the morning is the sand. It is the right bed if the evening is Soi Maharaj 8.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand tells visitors to reserve rooms early for late December to early January, up to a year ahead in that fortnight. A free-cancellation rate holds the price you see on the day you book. The private rooms are a short list next to the dorm beds. Check today’s rate if you want a door that locks.

No. TAT lists them as two venues. Chao Fah is the daily pier market. The walking street is the weekend market on Soi Maharaj 8.
Is there an entry fee?
I cannot say. The TAT pages I read on 27 October 2026 do not list a fee. Carry cash for the stalls. If someone asks for an entrance charge, ask what it is for.
How far is the market from Ao Nang?
TAT Japan says about 30 minutes by car from Ao Nang to Krabi Town. Agoda lists Ao Nang Beach at 10.6 kilometres from Snoozz Hotel on Maharaj Road. I am not quoting a songthaew price.
